Try out these 3 exercises today to ease your ankle tension FAST!
Foam roller to the ankle
Lying on a mat with your leg extended, cross your ankles over with the foam roller under your lower shin and ankle. Roll back and forth over the foam roller, you should feel it moving under the tension in this area. Repeat this movement for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Uncross your ankles and shake your legs out.
Repeat this on the other side.
Lacrosse ball to arch of foot
Sitting on a bench, place the lacrosse ball under your foot, roll the lacrosse ball up and down the underside of your foot, finding a spot of tension and press and hold for 30-45 seconds.
Using a lacrosse ball in this manner is amazing for releasing tension in your foot and your muscles.
Repeat this on the other foot.
Lacrosse ball to calf muscle
Sitting on the floor, extend one leg back and place the other foot to your knee.
Using the lacrosse ball, press into your calf, finding a tender spot and press and hold for 30-45 seconds or until you feel the release of the muscle in the area you’re pressing.
Repeat this on the other side.
