Try out these 3 stretches today to ease your stiff back!
Cat cow
A popular pose in yoga sequences but can be absolutely amazing in releasing tension stored in your back.
Keeping your hands shoulder-width apart and your knees directly below your hips.
Inhale deeply while curving your lower back and bringing your head up, tilting your pelvis up as you do so.
Exhale deeply and bring your stomach inwards arching your spine and bringing your head and pelvis down.
Repeat several times.
Reach through
Starting in tabletop position, reach your arm up away from your body, gently gliding underneath your body to the opposite side then your arm is.
You can hold this position for 30 seconds, gently reversing the movement, repeat this several times.
After 8-10 repeats, switch sides and repeat the sequence again.
Roll back
Lying on your back starting in a neutral spine, grab around your legs, gently easing backwards, mobilising your spine. Repeat this movement several times for up to 1 minute.
