Combat Chronic pain

Something I’m really passionate about it building strength and improving mobility to combat chronic pain.

Strength training and improving mobility is absolutely amazing and you must continue even after your pain subsides. To move towards being PAIN FREE and CONFIDENT in your body.

Here’s the thing, treatment of chronic pain also requires changes in LIFESTYLE, such as increased physical activity, stretching and when pain settles STRENGTH work. To get the best results you will have to embrace this, and it will take time and dedication, the value? Well imagine being able to do all the things you love and feel confident your body will handle it… The strength work I’ll prescribe will start small as to not overwhelm, and slowly move into more intermediate actions and increase gradually as your muscle strength does. In addition to some hands on and objective testing along the way.

Does this sound familiar?

you’re shying away from exercises because it’s worsening your pain and you’re already suffering enough? What if I told you, it’s not the exercise but the TYPES of exercises you’re doing?

What needs to happen here is that you must start with SIMPLE exercises, laying the foundations to build strength and trust in your body and gradually reduce your pain. Let’s get some wins on the board! Any improvement should be celebrated, once you’re smashing these exercises it’s time to move up to an intermediate tier! Nothing worse than a “BOOOM and BUST” where you go too hard straight up and have pain, it’s all about gradual progression, patience is key here!

We don’t build strength overnight, we must work on it and gradually we are stronger and more confident in our bodies!
