This will leave you frustrated, in a vicious cycle of temporary pain relief. without addressing the causes, the problem will keep coming back. This will lead to endless flare ups of your neck pain.

And I don’t want that for you.

I want you to put your neck pain behind you. I want you to have confidence in your body again. To enjoy playing with your kids and concentrating on your work. I want you to be pain free in your neck so you can be in a better mood and more present with your family and loved ones.

Hands on treatment will only give you temporary relief.

So here is what I want to share with you today:

Reliance on hands on treatment to resolve your neck issue will only give you temporary relief. Hands on treatment feels good and sure it will help take away your pain. This must be followed up with key mobility and strength exercises to treat the true cause of your issue. A balance must be maintained between you getting hands on treatment to settle the pain, followed up with key exercises.

Manage your stress levels.

You need to address the stress levels. There is a clear association between neck pain and increased stress levels. This can arrise from work, finances and relationships to name a few. Control what you can, take care of what you can. Let go of what you can’t control and make the necessary changes for factors that you can control. Of course, this is easier said then done, right down your stressors, what can you change, what can you not change? What steps need to be taken to address these changes?

Improve your mid-back movement.

Address the mid back movement. If the mid back doesn’t move enough, the pressure will always be placed onto the neck. This means that the neck has to take more pressure. We spend a lot of time over screens in 2024. Over time this stiffens the mid back and creates a major issue for the neck. To fix the neck you commonly need to look underneath the neck to the foundations it is sitting on. to without addressing the mid back movement the issue will just keep coming back.

Strengthen the muscles at the base of your neck.

You must address what is supporting the neck. Thi is achieved by addressing the strength at the base of your neck. Building strength around the base of your neck provides a solid foundation for the neck to operate from. Without this the neck will continue to not have the support it needs, leading to ongoing pain and too much pressure placed on to it.

Listen, I hope this was helpful
