I was just enjoying a coffee and was thinking about the importance of strength training for kids. And it inspired me to share this with you. I hope it’s valuable
So….
Introduction
This is important because if you don’t understand the importance it can impact the performance of your child in sport. Additionally without strength training your child will have an increased their risk for injury. This can limit their potential and not allow them to truly shine bright as you want them to. Additionally without strength training this can lead to overuse injuries.
And I don’t want that for your child.
I want your child to be feeling strong, confident and gliding across the ground. I want them to be running fast, dodging and weaving around their competition and jumping higher than ever. All of this can be achieved while reducing the risk for injury through strength training.
What are the benefits of strength training for children?
So here is what I want to share with you today:
Strength training for kids has only positive benefits, these are as follows:
- Increased strength
- Reduced risk of injury
- Ability to run faster
- Improved running technique
- Improved agility and change of direction
- Improved jumping height
- Increased bone density
- Increased confidence
- Increased resilience to training demands
- Increased ability to reach their potential
- Strength training will not stunt a child’s growth
By no means is this list exhaustive, but these are pretty cool right.
Listen, I hope this was helpful
